i have hammered this place and it is still giving up things. got a matchbox car today and what i think is a m1 garand stripper clip. went to a little itty bitty park by our post office yesterday and got 2 clad quarters and 2 clad dimes. the ground has thawed out nicely till the next cold snap.

A stripper clip would be a hell of a find....even if never used in battle.  Nice.

my thoughts exactly hunter i went back there today and got my 6th sewing thimble from there. some one who lived there in the long ago past sure did a  lot of sewing or was very careless of their thimbles i don't think any are silver none are marked as such anyway.

Wow that's a nice set of thimbles to get in one place. You might find more...

went over there again today go a 30-06 shellcasing with a headstamp 57 which is i understand is the yr of manufacture. so with that it kinda makes the m1 stripper clip logical. i do know the goverment sold a awful lot of m1 garand as surplus after ww2 likely that they included stripper clips in the deal.
